Costs

What a booking costs, item by item

Rate, travel costs, minimum duration, surcharges and the split between advance and cash.

The basis: two hours

Two hours is the smallest booking at virtually every agency. Anything shorter does not exist, because the travel time would outweigh the appointment. For those two hours the rate at The Men's Company runs from roughly 500 to 650 euro, averaging around 540 euro, VAT included.

Rates differ per person for practical reasons: availability, experience and how often somebody is asked for. A higher amount does not mean the appointment goes better.

Travel costs

Travel costs sit apart from the rate and are the item most often forgotten. They follow the distance between the home city in the profile and the place of the appointment. Choosing within the same region saves the most. Over longer distances the minimum duration rises as well.

Longer bookings

From roughly five hours the hourly rate drops, so a whole evening or a night works out lower per hour than two hours. Multi-day appointments are charged per day, with travel, accommodation and meals listed separately and agreed in advance.

Surcharges

This market knows surcharges for couples, drivers, late hours and particular locations, and they are not always visible before contact. Asking for the total including everything is the quickest way to know where things stand. The Men's Company uses no couples surcharge and no drivers, which keeps the total to rate plus travel.

How the total comes out lower

  • Choose somebody based in the same region; that cuts the travel costs most.
  • Book on a weekday rather than a weekend, when the choice is wider.
  • Request well ahead. Being able to choose means being able to choose on rate.
  • Consider a longer booking if it will be a whole evening anyway; per hour that works out lower.

The binding breakdown sits with the agency itself: the rates page of The Men's Company.
